    "message": "update versions in some R-CMD-check workflow items\n\nIt's pretty annoying how we have to update these things every few\nmonths.  Even though code can be static for years on end, we need to\ndevote time to updating github action calls every few seasons. Also,\nsince I'm whining here, is there really no way to test github actions\napart from pushing a repo to github?\n",
